Rykas

One of the most popular moto cafes in the UK, holding the biggest concentration of bikers I’ve ever seen in any cafe.

Based in Boxhill, know for amazing roads - now limited to 50mph - this cafe has a long history in motorcycling culture, dating back to 1920!

I’ve been visiting this cafe for many years now, and it has gone from strength to strength, recently refurbished everything just got a lot better, from food options, outdoor space and even holding some events.

But I guess the best thing about this cafe is the camaraderie between fellow bikers, not only you’ll see gorgeous bikes, you’ll meet incredible people.

My Rating (4.4/5)

5=Excellent | 4=Very Good | 3=Average | 2=Below Average | 1=Terrible

Facilities: 4/5

Ryka’s Café has the kind of basic, functional facilities you’d expect from a busy roadside stop. There’s enough seating to handle the regular rush of riders, and there’s also a decent outdoor space for those who prefer to sit outside. Inside, the setup is practical rather than polished, but it works well for the crowds. Toilets are available on-site and are generally clean, though the overall space could benefit from a refresh. The café also features a projector with a large screen, which adds a bit of extra entertainment value during busy days or events. It’s fine for a quick stop, but not somewhere you’d stay for a long time.

Ambience: 5/5

The atmosphere at Ryka’s is one of its biggest strengths. It’s a genuine biker hub, with a constant stream of riders and a real sense of community. The place is always buzzing, especially at peak times, and it’s easy to strike up conversations with fellow enthusiasts. If you enjoy that classic biker café energy, Ryka’s delivers in spades.

Food: 4/5

The food is solid and satisfying, with a menu that leans toward hearty, rider-friendly classics. Portions are generous, and the quality is consistently good. It’s not gourmet, but it’s exactly what you want after a long ride — filling, reliable, and tasty enough to keep you coming back.

Service: 4/5

Service is friendly and efficient, with staff who handle the busy periods well. It’s casual and welcoming, and while it’s not overly formal, you’re looked after properly. The service matches the overall vibe of the café perfectly.

Parking: 5/5

Parking is excellent at Ryka’s Café, with plenty of space for bikes and cars. It’s easy to park and get in quickly, making it a popular stop for group rides and weekend meets. The parking setup is one of the key reasons the café remains so busy.
