Day Itinerary

Meeting Point: Start in Cascais

We're gearing up to begin an unforgettable motorcycle journey, starting from the breathtaking coastal city of Cascais! Known for its charm, stunning views, and vibrant spirit, Cascais is the perfect launchpad for our epic ride.

1. Boca do Inferno

Boca do Inferno is one of the most iconic spots along the coast of Cascais. Here, the Atlantic waves crash against the cliffs, forming caves and spectacular splashes. It’s ideal for a short stop of 10–15 minutes, to take dramatic photos and feel the power of the ocean. A striking place to capture the force of nature.

2. Forte do Guincho / Praia do Abano

Shortly after Boca do Inferno, the road gives access to the Forte do Guincho and Praia do Abano. The historic fort offers panoramic views of the beach and dunes, while the beach area allows you to observe the Atlantic in all its grandeur. A quick stop of 10–15 minutes for photos or simply to enjoy the sea.

3. Cabo da Roca

The westernmost point of continental Europe, Cabo da Roca, offers breathtaking views over the Atlantic. An iconic spot for photos, featuring the famous lighthouse and signs marking the edge of the continent. Perfect for a short stop of around 15 minutes to feel the strong wind and the imposing scenery.

4. Monserrate Palace (longer stop – about 1 hour)

Monserrate Palace is a true romantic gem in Sintra. With its exotic architecture influenced by Moorish and Gothic styles, surrounded by lush gardens, it’s the perfect place to explore, photograph, and relax. Visitors can stroll along flower-lined paths, admire fountains and ponds, and discover the palace’s interior details.

Lunch suggestion: There is a café / light restaurant inside the palace grounds, ideal for a relaxed lunch before continuing to the other stops. Alternatively, a small picnic can be enjoyed in the gardens.

Recommended time: 1 hour, to explore both gardens and palace interior at leisure.

5. Sintra Historic Center

To finish the tour, the Sintra Historic Center is charming and perfect for a 20–30 minute walk. Cobbled streets, traditional shops, pastry shops, and typical village architecture create a unique atmosphere. Great for photos, souvenir shopping, and tasting local sweets like the famous Travesseiro de Sintra.
